Cafe Le saint-jean, rue des Abbesses, Montemartre

This is the Cafe 'le saint jean' found on  Rue des Abbesses, Montemartre, Paris. Not far from the   Abbessess metro, it is the oldest cafe in this part of Montemartre and one used by artists and locals in the early morning before the bustle of the day begins..

 I chose the croque monsieur which was delicious and well presented with pommes frites and salade
along with a cafe au lait

The Chicken club sandwich while not typically french was full of flavour and well presented..

The restaurants are fairly expensive especially if you are on a tight budget.. lunches with cafe au lait came to around €36.

The covered terrace outside on the rue des  Abbesses is great for people watching....
