Curried Parsnip Soup

I am much more of a savoury girl, much preferring a starter to a dessert..
Home made Curried Parsnip Soup with a chunk of fresh bread still warm is my idea of heaven, especially on cold blustery days.

When photographing this image, I wanted to capture the country style cuisine which I feel this type of  homemade soup epitomises. So using natural light and creating a lifestyle was an important element in this set up..
The main focal point is the bowl of soup with the other elements in visible focus.
To add interest and appeal to the soup, a swirl of cream and a garnish of parsley is vital to bring colour and texture.
